In 2013, Jack started EVENTOPS, an event support and planning group. EVENTOPS is a consulting service that helps festivals, fairs, and special events plan and execute in a cost-effective manner. Jack’s 20+ years of experience includes working on the details of event operations and planning, logistics, warehouse and fleet management, event-based greening, and site layout. Jack and his team are actively consulting with festivals, fairs, and events around the country on volunteer recruitment, retention, and training.Jack has recently left the Local Mahaffey Team, leaving the role of Director of Operations to expend his growing small business. As with before he was responsible for all field and warehouse operations including a staff of 80+. Jack designed custom structures and layouts for events throughout the south. Jack was the Service Manager for one of NES Rentals’ largest branches. The Cordova and Memphis branches earn around 1 million dollars a month in rental revenue. His department turned an average of 140 work orders a week and maintains a fleet of over 900 pieces of rental machinery. Jack spent the 5 years working for the Memphis in May International Festival. Jack supervised a volunteer program that won 4 IFEA awards for Best Volunteer Program. He additionally planned and implemented the on-the-ground operational layout.
