I'm Jacki Zehner and my personal mission is to work for the advancement of women and girls. It started at Goldman Sachs where, in 1996, I made history as the youngest woman and the first female trader to join Goldman Sachs' partnership. Most of my career was spent in mortgage-backed trading, followed by two years in the executive office where my role was to help manage the careers of the firm's managing director population. I served on the Partnership Committee, the governing body of all people processes of the firm. It was an honor to play a significant role in advancing the firm’s early diversity and inclusion initiatives including launching ASCEND: A Goldman Sachs Leadership Exchange in 2002. Following my tenure at Goldman, I became a founding partner at Circle Financial Group, a multi-family office. I also served on the boards of a number of women focussed non-profits, including the National Council for Research on Women, The Women’s Funding Network and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In 2009, I embarked on a transformative chapter by joining Women Moving Millions (WMM), a campaign focussed on encouraging women to make a million dollar gift to women focussed organizations. I went on to lead the organization as it moved to a permanent organization, and for my years of effort was named Co-Founder, alongside Helen LaKelly Hunt. I'm an active early stage investor, both through directs and funds, with a focus on women and BIPOC founders. My direct portfolio of over 20 companies include the early success story, Learnvest. My current investments include Apolitical, Chief, Hello Alice, Known, Smartpurse and Uplevyl to name a few. I'm also a proud supporter and investor in two Utah-based companies, Rasa and Redemption Bank. In 2023, I was honored as a Utah Women of the Year by Utah Business Magazine, recognizing my commitment to creating opportunities for women in the state. Over the decades I have been the recipient of many awards and accolades on a national and global level. It is an honor and a privilege to do the work I do.
