As the Chair of the RSPBA's London and South of England branch, I organise "Pipes in the Park", a major outdoor pipe band competition in Colchester. Now in its 27th year, it takes place on the second Sunday in June in Colchester's Lower Castle Park. As its costs always exceed the revenue generated on the day, a major task is to identify sponsors, advertisers and stallholders who can contribute. Any corporate sponsorship, however small, would be greatly appreciated! A new pipe band contest is being held on 4 August 2019 in partnership with the South Gloucestershire ShowRetirement should also permit more active involvement with both East London branch Royal Signals Association and the 36 Sig Regt RSA

Deputy Chief ExecutiveEast Anglia Reserve Forces And Cadets Association Apr 2000 - Apr 2018Based In Essex But Covering The Whole Of East AngliaAs the Deputy Chief Executive at East Anglia Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, I helped to shape support for the 2.5k Reservists and 13k cadets in Eastern England. Specifically, as the cadets and youth focus, I managed our 44 professional support staff who administer the Army Cadet Force in the six counties of Eastern England, supporting the cadet force adult volunteers and ensuring youngsters enjoyed a great cadet experience in a safe environment. I was also actively engaged with our local communities, local employers and network of RFCA volunteers to improve understanding of MOD policies and raise awareness of the wider activities of our armed forces, both regular and reserve.
