Provide detailed structural and site design for new substation projects throughout the Ameren Missouri and Ameren Illinois service territories. Create calculations and develop sketches to coordinate with drafting to obtain correct and complete construction prints. Author scopes of work for the civil/site development portion of construction projects. Facilitate interactions with internal real estate professionals and external permitting authorities to accomplish required project approvals. Serve as project engineer for EPA mandated spill control projects ranging in size from small distribution substations to large transmission substations. Coordinate with other technical disciplines to minimize operational interference and insure on time in-service. Utilize Primavera scheduling tool to maintain project schedule and identify potential liabilities. Manage security projects for the implementation of additional physical oversight at critical substations. Collaborate with in-house technical disciplines and security personnel and outside consultants to complete successful projects.Manage financial aspects of projects including budget estimating, work order development, purchase order creation and project close-out. Participate on standards committee to establish company-wide benchmarks for the design of electrical substations and corresponding structures. Oversee development of new electrical structure standards by outside consultant and coordinate with drafting department to incorporate into Ameren’s drawing management system.Volunteer as a Project Unfreeze facilitator to promote culture change movement throughout all employee ranks.

Provided detailed structural design and construction scopes of work for capital projects at Anheuser Busch facilities across the country. Provided structural calculations and sketches for drafting. Coordinated with design discipline leads and drafters to limit interferences and insure completeness. Managed detailed engineering design by in-house and third party engineering firms. Led design reviews from inception through IFC and coordinated interdiscipline design and customer reviews. Developed design-build scopes of work providing CAD sketches to show Owner’s intent and potential interferences. Created technical supplements to clarify quality requirements.
