Jackie Boyd, has been in the insurance industry for more than 30 years.In partnership with Bruce Penberthy she opened the doors to Penberthy Insurance Otago Limited in Wanaka on 1 October 2009. 31 March 2017 she bought out his shareholding and changed the company name to beSure Otago Ltd. Finalists in 2014, 2016, 2017 and Awarded IANZ Broker of the Year in 2015. Jackie has lived in Wanaka area for over 29 years. She has been active in the community since her arrival in the region, volunteering her time to a diverse range of worthy causes including Wanaka Squash Club, Rotary Club of Wanaka, Montessori Children’s House, and Wanaka Primary School, founder of Wanaka Lake Swimmers Club and current Chairperson of Wanaka Watersports Facility Trust and a board member of Wanaka Business Chamber. Her spare time is also spent in the outdoors walking, swimming and biking as well as trying to keep up with her university aged daughters and planning the next adventure.Jackie is extremely proud to have run a successful Insurance brokerage to November 2020 when she sold to Crombie Lockwood and remained employed with them until September 2023.She is currently enjoying a new position with Construction Cost Consultants as their South Island Risk & Insurance Manager.
