I worked at a family operated brunch spot turned catering business from the dates listed above. While it was a restaurant, I was promoted to Head Server, which involved keeping track of inventory, mentoring and training servers, updating the POS system, and working directly with customers through both serving and addressing any of their problems. Once the restaurant closed, I was then promoted to Catering Liaison by the owner and head chef. In that position I was in charge of contacting and communicating with customers, serving and leading servers during events, organizing and packing all needed supplies for offsite events, light meal preparation in the kitchen, research for information as directed by boss, creation of menus and any promotional posters, and any other assistant/receptionist type tasks that were needed as directed. This job gave me much experience with working hands on with customers during high stress events (such as weddings), organizing and maintaining cleanliness throughout events and popup dinners onsite, problem solving, and administrative work.
