I am a multi-talented, hard-working young professional. I am an impassioned teacher who works hard past school hours to advocate for students and communicate with parents and staff. I believe that all students can learn and I strive to ensure that all of the students I have the priviledge to work with do learn. I have led or taken part in numerous after school groups for supplemental learning, combining my content area knowledge in English and my expertise working with special education students.I also feel that it is important for teenagers to have positive role models to look up to, so I created a website that featured musicians who worked with charities or pursued social causes. First I created thecuttingedgeculture.com, which later became inthekeyofchange.com. The site features interviews with bands and other celebrities who are trying to help the greater good. The site also features a store of donated autograph band merch, who entired proceeds are donated by me to a music charity. My site has raised and donated over $1000 in the past two years for Music Drives Us. I share this site with students in order to create a more personal bond with students as well as emphasize the importance of having a social responsibility.
