I lead on the delivery and day-to-day management of 12 Yorkshire based partnerships and generate new business leads for Martin House.

Supporting and stewarding volunteer committees, business groups and participation events; recuiting new volunteers and corporates for regional community fundraising opportunities.Supported the NSPCC Castle Howard Christmas Fair Committee to stage event which was opend by Nick Hewer in November 2014 and raised £55,000, up £15,000 on last year.

As a Community Major Supporters Manager at the NSPCC, my main objective was to deliver the new business strategy to grow the portfolio of high net worth individuals to develop and manage these relationships in order to build mutually beneficially strategic partnerships. I maximised income by engaging and managing individual supporters, business leaders and charitable trusts and foundations throughout Yorkshire and the Humber – inspiring them to give their time, money and skills. During my 12 months covering maternity leave, I submitted a proposal which generated £1.2m over 3 years for our ChildLine Schools Service which educates children about staying safe, bullying, neglect and different forms of abuse. My role included building a pipeline including a portfolio of high value prospects, identify and researching potential supporters, ensuring prospects were aware of the work of the NSPCC locally and nationally. I also organised engagement events and build relationships with new individuals as well as effectively stewarding those relationships already in place.

My role involved setting up a Development Office from scratch at one of North Yorkshire’s best performing secondary schools. I contributed towards the strategic plan and helped develop an associated fundraising strategy encompassing, Major Gifts, an Annual Fund and Legacies.

Working as part of the Major Gifts Fundraising Team and within a national fundraising framework, I generated donations from regional major donors and charitable trusts to support the Harlow Carr Learning Centre (HCLC) capital appeal (£3.2m). In my first 6 months of fundraising, I smashed my fundraising target and generated 4 times my projected target income.

My role involved working with one the largest regeneration projects in Europe, South Greenwich Regeneration Agency (SGRA) providing skills in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management and Community Relations.

Supported the Director of Corporate Relations to spearhead the implementation of a new Arts Sponsorship Strategy, focusing on client entertainment.

Head-hunted to manage two Community Affairs initiatives, the Prudential Carers’ Initiative, a £1.5m programme working with two Caring charities and the Prudential Youth Action Initiative, a £1.25 million initiative working with Crime Concern
