Successfully lead Worldwide Wafermap Inkless Quality Improvement Team, consisting of 150 members from 8 countries and 10 different functional areas. Continue to serve in a consultant capacity from 2006-2009.• Increase revenue $1.5M/yr minimum and reduce quality problems by removing the wafer inking process for all products, and identifying bad dies and grades of good dies using data instead. This involves (1) creating standards documents for wafer map data format, binning, and physical wafer scribe; (2) obtaining equipment upgrades and working with Asian vendors to develop new equipment; (3) developing strategic IT system; (4) migrating 15 diverse TI factories worldwide; (5) migrating major subcontractors. A major challenge is convincing upper management that the project saves money. Dies are normally printed off the edge of the wafer, and an unprinted area in a standard location is required by picking equipment. This results in fewer dies per wafer, a throughput loss through million-dollar machines, and yield loss on surrounding dies due to metal peeling.• Resolve 3-month logic device qualification delay caused by new unanticipated die-sorting equipment alignment issues and photolithography layout. $3.7M PFO. Create and implement alignment standard. Retain customer.

Meet TS16949 quality requirements as a prerequisite for doing business with automotive, which has some of the strictest requirements in the industry. Determine, document and implement quality improvements in the factories as lead and member of several FMEA (Failure Mode Effects and Analysis) teams. Improve data integrity and add software controls at every data-related step.
