Intervention/Booster Groups: work with small groups of children to provide extra support for areas they need to develop, e.g. letter & number formation, sentence structure, phonics.Contribute to the assessment of children in Reading, Writing and Numeracy.Administer tests in reading and numeracy (Reading Now, Salford Reading Tests and Maths Tasks).Assist with administering Year 2 SATS reading, writing and numeracy tests – level 1 & 2.Preparation of the environment and resources for lessons.Work with individual children on their PCP (Person Centred Plans) targets.Support SEN (Special Educational Needs) children for English and Numeracy to ensure that they can access the teaching.Work with targeted children to bridge the gaps in their learning.Work with focus groups to apply the teaching for a specific topic.Help with the planning, writing and implementation of assemblies.Design and produce interactive displays in line with the display policy, which show the children’s levelled work.Help to decide which children should receive merits and choose best work for celebration assembly.Recognise and reward children’s work and behaviour.
