This role promotes and coordinates the Kickstart to Career Newaygo County program in the community and within Children’s Savings Account (CSA) networks. The Kickstart to Career program prioritizes asset development, self-sufficiency, and social capital and empowerment to impact households at or below the Asset Limited Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) threshold in the community.Activities include overseeing Champion Committee, engagement with schools to promote savings, communication with stakeholders and partners, attending community events, and collaboration with other programs focused on children’s savings, poverty reduction, and college/career going efforts.Provides support for grantmaking and strategic initiatives of the Community Foundation. Enhances the capacity of the community investment team while building relationships with community partners that engender trust in the work of the Community Foundation. Assists managing and implementing grant rounds. Providing information, clarification, and assistance, helping community partners understand how their work aligns with the strategic grantmaking priorities.

Admissions Director for two Heartland Skilled Nursing Facilities. Cross-trained for Hospital Liaison to fill in as needed. Responsible for three additional facilities on rotating holidays and weekends.Central Intake Directors is a director level role responsible for receiving initial admissions requests from hospitals, other healthcare facilities, and home. Each request must be reviewed and an initial determination or request for further information sent within 15 minutes. The CID analyzes each patient's needs and plans for appropriate accommodations including gaining insurance authorization, ordering special equipment or medications in advance, and communicating with internal and external parties involved. Scheduling transfers and additional care trips while managing the team's expectations allowed for smooth transitions. Additional responsibilities include scheduling meetings with stakeholders to promote Heartland, procuring new business, and assisting with outreach events. To ensure patient and family satisfaction, follow up for patients who return to the hospital is done by the CID and reported on to the regional director. Notable achievements:- Exceeded customer satisfaction targets regularly.- Collaborated with teams to coordinate more effective admissions process, including adjusting admission times to when the best staffing ratio was available. - Coordinated successful acceptance of long-term care patients from a facility that was closing to ensure their patients had a new home.- Created an online admission outline to send with each patient with a snapshot of their packet and needs.- Developed strong relationships with shared staff and improved response time from them by developing a new scheduling method for patients who required special services such as wound care and respiratory therapy.

Membership development included one-on-one and corporate membership sales, initiation, and contract signing as well as an array of marketing and membership oversight duties.Being part of this organization before opening day provided many opportunities to develop policies and marketing strategies as the facility grew. It also allowed me to showcase my technical skills as I learned the back end of the CRM software, setting up parameters, adding sales items, and creating custom reports.Notable achievements:- To diplomatically handle customer disputes, I created a refund request committee and policy. This process improved customer satisfaction regardless of the results.- Spearheaded retiree insurance-based membership partnership with Priority Health and Blue Cross. These allowed retired adults to use the facility at no cost to them and a 300% higher payout for the facility than the standard insurance contract that was initially sent. - Developed marketing strategy and sold 71% over targets.

General management of 38 room hotel and staff of about 20. Human resources and accounting, including payroll for another location with the same owner. This role is responsible for overseeing all functions of the hotel. Recruits new staff and handles all customer or staff disputes.
