To coordinate and implement New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s (NZTE) global communications strategy in the North American region.Support the regional implementation of the key business and sector initiatives working with the NZTE teams.• Support the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager in refining the communications pitch to support the regional team and our customers.• Develop and manage offshore communications content on behalf of NZTE in partnership with the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager.• Support the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager with public relations, media and events, content for social media, pitch decks and general communications support.• Work with the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager in all marketing and communication activities in the region in support of the NZTE global marketing strategy (including INZ) and implementation of NZTE’s category management strategy.• Work with the development of communications collateral specific to the region, and conduct regular audits of relevance and fit for purpose of collateral.

Organise and plan events from the first enquiry to the completion of the event.- Liaise between client and company, ensuring any changes are recorded and reported. - Hire appropriate equipment for all events from internal and external suppliers. - Liaise with staffing manager and provide specific details for event to ensure they are prepared and have the correct team assigned.- Ensure menu cards, beverage consumption lists and floor plans are created and attached to the appropriate worksheets for the week. - Receive and respond to all client enquires following company sales procedure.- Assist with site inspections as required and visit location on night of event.

Villa Maria provided me with my foundation within the hospitality and events industry. It was a privilege to work here and learn from some of the most talented people in the world. My role included: - Assisting the functions manager with anything they needed to prepare for upcoming events including weddings, concerts, private functions. - Assisting the restaurant team with taking orders, looking after tables, seating guests.- Partaking in stocktake and filling of shelves (wine, merch etc)- Organising and running various functions. - Organising staff + assisting the events coordinators with runsheets and plans for events. - Ordering of stock.
