As a member of a Corporate Affairs team located at the Saskatoon office, I was responsible for managing key relationships with government stakeholders at federal and provincial government levels for the Jansen Potash Project within Canada. This included developing respectful, trustful relationships with government officials and facilitating open two-way dialogue resulting in informed regulatory amendments and improved communications on policy and regulatory impacts to the business. Additionally I led the development and oversight of Employment and Training programs with the five primary First Nations that were signatories to Opportunities Agreements in connection to the Jansen Potash Project.

Whitecap Dakota First Nation is a modern and progressive community located south of Saskatoon. Known for its strong and consistent leadership, Whitecap has developed an unrivaled economic prosperity that has more jobs than residents. As a business development manager my role was to attract and encourage new business operations that will benefit the community. This included:1. Launching Whitecap Industrial Services, a group of partnerships with established companies to provide opportunity and employment to the Whitecap Dakota First Nation members. 2. Commercial building project development, including partnership and financial agreements for the initial building in new business park development.3. Managing on-reserve adult education and post-secondary programs in partnership with a Saskatchewan regional college increasing high school or equivalency completion rates and increasing post-secondary participation rates.

Supported the CEO, Whitecap Development Corporation and the Director, Economic Development, Whitecap Dakota First Nation with business development projects including: hotel & spa project design and development, business park project development and entrepreneurship program implementation. Supported post-secondary programs and community development projects.
