With over 30 years public sector experience in the NHS, social care, local government, regeneration and voluntary/third sectors. I am an Associate of the Consultation Institute, an internationally recognised institute of expert advice and support in consultation and engagement. Initially employed as Head of Engagement for Knowsley PCT and following NHS reforms joined the CSU to cover Cheshire and. Merseyside. I have also provided training across the north of England on behalf of NHS England's Field Force Programme on patient and public involvement, legal and statutory duties for 68 CCGs and 9 NHS England area teams, including the involvement of the north of England healthwatch organisations and Councils for Voluntary Services.Locally I have provided strategic advice and support to CCGs, NHS England, NHS Wales and hospital trusts, including major service changes/reconfiguration programmes, local CCG strategies for engagement and where required provided operational leadership and support to commissioners and providers undertaking large scale consultations across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Lead commissioner for health commissioning services: drugs and alcohol, teenage pregnancy, cardio vascular disease, smoking cessation, stroke, primary care, community services, capital build programmes. Undertaking major scale health impact assessments of housing re provision. Created and jointly managed multi-disciplinary teams of health, social care and housing staff to support the major scale change programme involving demolition of 1200 homes, rebuild of 1400 homes, a new build primary care resource centre and the delivery of community nursing and occupational health support in the 8th and 13th most deprived wards in the country.

Led on community health bids applications for health improvement projects. Developed first Knowsley Sure Start public involvement strategy and delivery of training to parents on empowering communities to aspire and achieve and was an active board member representing the third sector. I was an integral group member for setting up Knowsley Homestart and supported the organisation as the vice chair.

Designed a new outreach provision for mental health service users and provided 1:1 counselling, group therapy and drop in services.

Providing mental health counselling service to service users and carers, via helpline and at mental health day centres. Also provided administration to five group homes, three day centres and executive leadership team
