I started my professional experience at Ulta Beauty as a Beauty Advisor in the summer of 2017. I stocked shelves, worked the cashwrap, gave advice to customers, and kept things clean and organized. My colleagues found me to be adaptable and hardworking.I then became Special Projects Assistant at the University of Mary Washington Theatre Department in August of 2017 while I attended school there. I left this positive in November 2017 due to extenuating family circumstances that required my full attention. My colleagues found me to be funny and helpful.I then began volunteering at the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society in the spring of 2018. I organized and prepared thank-you notes for their sponsors, completed various office tasks, and assisted in the office space where necessary. My colleagues found me to be attentive, pleasant, and motivated.I took a break and then joined the shelter as a staff member in the summer of 2018. I worked in several sectors of the shelter including care, transports, adoptions, and behavior. I interacted heavily with the community and introduced many people to the adoptable animals. I received positive feedback from the people in the community that I assisted. The CEO of the organization valued me greatly, and we talked often. My colleagues found me to be detail-oriented, reliable, and flexible. I left in October of 2022 due to my dad's health and my own health.I am currently exploring new avenues of work to find what sticks for me. This does not mean I'll be going from job to job. I am going to put the effort into whatever opportunity comes my way while I work on my self-improvement, helping my family, and becoming more independent.
