Taking Care Counselling provides confidential counselling services for individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues. We also facilitate various treatment groups for anxiety & panic disorders, grief & loss and domestic violence. Presentations for educational seminars are also one of the other services offered at Taking Care. Presentations could be on Children & Anxiety, Stress in the Workplace, Colour Spectrums, Impact of Divorce/Separation on children, Grief & Loss, Shift Work & the Family and Suicide Prevention. We provide trauma interventions for community and industry workplaces.

Jackie uses a holistic approach to therapy, providing private counselling services to individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues. These issues include but are not limited to workplace distress/dissatisfaction, mild to moderate depression, couple/family conflict, anger management, exposure to domestic violence, bullying, grief and loss, anxiety, panic, family of origin issues, personal self-development, relationship enhancement and building self-esteem. Her holistic approach incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy, psycho-education, client-centered therapy, systems theory, experiential models and solution focused treatment. Jackie has a special interest in working with individuals struggling with anxiety/panic disorder, providing an 8 week treatment group. She uses cognitive-behavioural therapy(CBT) to assist individuals in changing their distorted thoughts, learning relaxation techniques to normalize and realign their anxiety/panic to a health state. Jackie also facilitates a number of different psycho-educational workshops on workplace boundaries and wellness, anxiety information sessions, dealing with difficult clients, couple connection and using personal values to make change. Jackie is a certified trainer for Suicide Intervention Skils Training and Colour Spectrums
