I was deployed by Albany Beck to RBC. I was part of the Client Readiness team and supported Client Managers and Custody Reps prepare their clients and Investment Managers to migrate from one custody system to another.

Provided GDPR and project management consultancy services in both utilities and financial services industries as well as to charities.

Conducted audit of Privacy related documentation and provided recommendations. Produced the various logs / registers required under the new Data Protection Act 2018. Provided advice, guidance and documentation on what would be required to manage a breach or a data subject access request.

Responsible for the creation and mapping of the deletion process which targeted personal data held within Financial crime cases. Utilised Lean Six Sigma methodology to resolve the resourcing of the project, with day to day management of the project timelines and stakeholder reporting. Created the first group-wide retention period, liaising with my opposites in the group subsidiaries.Developed and tested a solution with Navex, providing the Prudential requirements for data deletion. Co-ordinated the testing with the third party development team and reported back to stakeholders. Worked with Navex to ensure a clear understanding of Prudential’s requirements to delete personal data from specific fields. Tested the Navex solution and provided feedback to both the successful and unsuccessful tests.

Responsible for delivering an e-discovery tool (Symantec DLP) to find personal data. Worked collaboratively with IT and subject matter experts to define and document the processes and procedures. Engaged business functions to brief them on scan outputs and what remediation was required. Worked with Legal to put in place a data controller / data processor agreement with our subject matter experts. Reviewed all GHO systems to establish their deletion capabilities. Agreed and documented deletion processes with 6 group functions who held personal data in their systems. Worked with GHO IT to build, test and deliver a workflow to manage the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) screening questionnaire. Gathered both functional and management information requirements, conducted testing and wrote the communication issued to impacted teams at go live.Supported and advised procurement team when completing DPIA screening questionnaires as part of new supplier selection process.

Supported the Legal team’s review of third party data processors contracts.
