Emails were sent and then you'd phone to let them know you'd sent an email as they wouldn't be checking every 2 minutes.

I joined the team at this luxury hotel prior to the opening of a new conference centre in order to set up systems and purchase essential equipment. If you were to go to the hotel today, the meeting space has been replaced by the stunning pool and spa - in fact my office is probably where the ladies changing rooms are now. Unfortunately, the hotel group at the time was taken over by a larger group not used to working within the luxury 5 star market so when linen napkins had to be replaced by paper doilleys on trays, that's when I left.It's the little things that make the difference and I've never lost sight of this.
