We are a small dedicated team who know their clients requirements well and spend much of our time keeping up to date with new venues, refurbishments and emerging markets and it may surprise you that in 2016 alone :Events & Venues welcomed 34 hotel representative appointments to their offices in Bristol providing updates and setting up rate plans for particular clients.Events & Venues staff attended 13 days of Exhibitions or Forum events meeting multiple venues and attending workshops on Industry StandardsEvents & Venues staff spent 26 days out of the office visiting and inspecting hotels either on behalf of or with clients.THAT IS 73 DAYS SPENT KEEPING OURSELVES UP TO DATE and IN THE KNOW.......How times have changed.... the picture below is me 25 years ago when we started our journey. Just look at that screen - before www was an essential part of daily life. We had a whole room full of filing cabinets with hotel brochures and maps as our reference points and a quote could take days to put together from faxes and phone calls.... Emails were sent and then you'd phone to let them know you'd sent an email as they wouldn't be checking every 2 minutes.

Conference & Special Events ManagerThe Royal Crescent Hotel, Bath Jan 1989 - Feb 1992Bath, United KingdomI joined the team at this luxury hotel prior to the opening of a new conference centre in order to set up systems and purchase essential equipment. If you were to go to the hotel today, the meeting space has been replaced by the stunning pool and spa - in fact my office is probably where the ladies changing rooms are now. Unfortunately, the hotel group at the time was taken over by a larger group not used to working within the luxury 5 star market so when linen napkins had to be replaced by paper doilleys on trays, that's when I left.It's the little things that make the difference and I've never lost sight of this.
