As the Family and Community Engagement Supervisor, I am responsible for ensuring district staff provide economically disadvantaged families in the Mesa school district with resources assisting in building self-sufficiency.

CARE 7 provides 24-hour crisis intervention services as a part of the 911 emergency call system with Tempe Fire Medical Rescue and the Tempe Police Department. CARE 7 provides on-scene emotional support and follow-up to community members facing trauma or crisis. The unit fully focuses on the emotional and practical needs of the family and/or individual. As an intern, you will always be paired with a staff person. You will be responsible for writing reports and in the second semester, you may run calls with staff guidance.

As a Family Support Specialist, in many different departments, I ensured the safety and security of children and families involved with the Department of Child Safety.
