My career has been hallmarked by improving educational and operational performance through shared leadership. Having held leadership roles in higher education and adult learning, as well as at the district, state and federal; and K-12 levels, I've managed budgets up to $65M and educational talent teams of 300+ (direct and indirect reports). In higher education, I've served in roles as Mentor, Adjunct Instructor, Panelist, Visiting Scholar, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Research Associate.I've held State and Federal educational roles as Mentor, Instructor, Site Visitor, Team Leader, Commissioner of Education Regional Advisory Committee Member ... and more.At the district level, my "hats" have encompassed Consultant, Curriculum Specialist, Administrator, Task Force member, Board Intern, and Teacher. An innate organizer (conception to follow-through), persistent problem solver, articulate communicator (oral and written), and natural people connector, I lead with a “get it done” and "what's best for our students" mindset. I'm known for cutting through the clutter to grasp the aerial view, essence and details of the issues; and then guiding diverse groups with varying perspectives towards cohesive goals aligned with quality education that takes it back to the "What's best for our students?" question.
