Children'S Behavioral Health Initiative

Strategic planning, coaching and facilitation toward the transformation of the state's children's behavioral health system, resulting in the rapid expansion of a new, cross-agency system of services for 20,000 youth across Massachusetts• Facilitated strategic planning to strengthen integrated service delivery across multiple state agencies• Produced Interagency Protocols for 10 state agencies, working with Commissioners, legal departments and plaintiffs. • Spearheaded workforce development and disparities reduction initiatives.

Helped build the organizational infrastructure that allowed MassEquality to become a major political force in Massachusetts and defeat numerous constitutional amendments to ban gay marriage.• Spearheaded the formation of MassEquality’s first statewide field structure, convening, mobilizing and training volunteer leaders across the state to lead community-based efforts to persuade legislators.• Facilitated a challenging governance transition from Coalition Steering Committee to a Board of Directors, designed comprehensive orientation and training for new Board of Directors, and guided the process of revising the by-laws.• Established the staffing infrastructure, and supported the transition from part-time consultants to full-time employees (benefits, insurance and HR policies).
