As Program Support, I work with 18 partner sites to support their AmeriCorps Member(s). The RISE VISTA Program currently has 25 AmeriCorps VISTA Member and 1 AmeriCorps VISTA Leader. Responsibilities include: -Ensuring the RISE VISTA program’s practices and documentation are compliant with AmeriCorps rules, regulations, policies, and procedures-Providing administrative, technical, and programmatic assistance to the RISE VISTA program and staff for maintaining and implementing AmeriCorps VISTA deliverables-Providing information and technical support to VISTA members and supervisors regarding data collection, member file documentation, policies and procedures and benefits

As a VISTA Leader, I worked to coach fellow VISTA members, motivate prospects to become VISTA members, create a supportive community for VISTA members to reflect on their service, develop professionally while in service, and gain new resources and information. Some duties included: -Preparing monthly Team Member Meetings -Enhance training including webinars -Connecting VISTA Members through Social Media -Plan and coordinate National Service Days -Help troubleshoot any issues the members may have -Research professional development

As a VISTA with the school district, I researched ways to help eliminate the achievement gap. With my background in after school programs, I was placed to work with school district personnel to build on existing extended day programs. At one of the local schools I helped restart a neighborhood garden, donations were collected from Home Depot and Panera Bread for the gardening. I facilitated a six week Parent Academy Program for the summer camp. For this I talked with some of the local companies to connect them with the low income families. Workshops were held for the families during the Parent Academy. I connected with the local food locker to provide low income families who participated in the Parent Academy a bag of food for the weekend.

As a site director, I was in charge of a before and after school program. I managing the safety, health and wellness of 50-80 children from kindergarten to fourth grade. I also supervised 15 staff at two different schools. As a site director, I had to plan weekly and monthly themes and activities for the children.
