IDA Ireland is the Irish government agency responsible for marketing and selling Ireland as a first-class location to invest in and drive business from. We aim to support multinational companies establishing operations in Ireland and also work with existing companies providing support as they grow their Irish operations. We facilitate introductions to peer companies and service providers as well as offering aid for Employment Creation, R&D and Training.In my current role I am part of the IDA's International Financial Services Division responsible for attracting FDI into Ireland and for supporting existing clients to develop additional business activities here.

As Senior Executive Education and Public Engagement my role involves:* Lead Project Executive for the Smart Futures programme: a government-industry STEM skills initiative aimed at promoting STEM careers to post-primary students, parents and guidance counsellors - as a commitment under the Action Plan for Jobs, ICT Action Plan, IFS Strategy etc.* Developing partnerships and strategies for engaging industry in addressing STEM skills shortages * Delivering communications training for STEM industry volunteers across the country* Marketing and communications officer for the education and public engagement programme, including market research on skills shortages and internet marketing platforms* Web master and content manager for multiple websites and social media channels, including analytics reporting, eNewsletters and CRMs* Event manager - e.g. Ploughing Championships, BT Young Scientist, SFI Summit,Higher Options careers exhibition, Smart Futures careers roadshow etc. * Project managing multiple contracts and service providers, e.g. PR, digital content, print and design, filming, web development etc.* Coordination of public engagement projects funded under SFI Discover Funding Call* Coordination of the education and public engagement activities of the SFI Funded Research Centres* Manage Public Procurement Contracts

The Irish Tax Institute is the leading professional body for taxation affairs in Ireland. The Institute works with corporate leaders, Government, Revenue, other professional and representative groups, and the general public to help in the administration and development of the Irish and EU tax systems. Our professional development programme provides continued education, appropriate advice, specialist seminars and other support services. We provide a large range of other services to our members, including representation, tax research and information and a suite of publications covering the full range of tax topics.As part of the Communications team, I report to the Communications Director. My key responsibilities include •Project management of all significant events which includes: o Setting event budgets and monitoring actual expenditureo Acting as key management point of contact with events venues o Project managing all aspects of advance planning for eventso Ensuring effective oversight is in place during eventso Ensuring effective follow-up occurs for all events including appropriate profiling in communications media• Responsibility for website and for all social media activity and branding and style guide • Securing advertising and sponsorship opportunities • Creating of marketing material for all products and services while devising and implementing an effective promotional campaign for all the key ITI products and services

SEAI, Ireland’s national energy authority,aims to provide advice to Government. It delivers a range of programmes efficiently and effectively, while engaging and motivating a wide range of stakeholders and showing continuing flexibility and innovation in all activities.As part of the Marketing and Communications team ,I report to the Head of Communications and have responsibility for the organisation of the entire company event calendar. There are 2 main events in the SEAI calendar , The Energy Show , a 2 day business to business trade exhibition in the RDS Dublin with over 150 exhibitors and a footfall of over 5000 industry professionals and the SEAI Energy Awards which takes place annually and is a Black tie gala dinner of over 250 attendees to award industry professionals on their achievements . All events involve the management of the internal preplanning of events incorporating guest lists, speakers, event registration, equipment, printed and promotional items . I also manage the negotiation of contracts with third party suppliers: eg hotels, caterers, audio/visual suppliers etc.

Managed the smooth running of events taking place in Tag Venues 2 nights a week which ranged from greeting and registering each team when they arrive at the venue. Full responsibility for smooth, punctual running of matches each night. Dealing with up to 500+ players and their first aid issues, complaints, rules and regulation queries etc . Arranging referee documentation before & after each match. Inputting results, news stories, photos on ITRA website .

On Parade was a small events management company in existence since 1992. I joined initially in the role of supporting the Managing Director. In June 2003, I took over the running, management and development of the company.I succeeded in tendering for and organising promotional events and brand sampling.I also built and fostered relationships and won contracts with market leading companies
