Jackie Dennis has more than 25 years of experience developing and executing public involvement programs and policy for local, state, federal, and commercial clients in both the public and private sectors. In her role overseeing meaningful community engagement and crisis communications, she often works as an extension of the client’s staff and as the lead liaison and facilitator with the community with a specialty in conflict management and controversial projects. Her experience affords her the ability to work within highly complex and technical environments to develop beneficial community partnerships, bridge communications, understand the issues, and work collaboratively to address concerns and resolve matters prior to them coming to light in public, making sure that the project stays on schedule, mitigates political and social risk, and that audience and community engagement is transparent, inclusive, diverse, accessible, and equitable. Jackie formerly oversaw corporate communications for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and provided policy council during the Nevada State Legislature 2016 Special Session for Southern Nevada Tourism Improvements bill passing (SB 1) securing funding for the Las Vegas Convention Center expansion and renovation and Allegiant Stadium construction. Additionally, she led marketing and public relations at the RTC of Southern Nevada during the first transit fare increase in a decade that received significant social and political scrutiny.
