After returning to the UK, I reported for BBC Radio's flagship news programme "Today" and covered foreign news for the BBC World Service and BBC World TV.

A high profile role in the BBC's premier bureau, at the eye of the 2008 presidential election storm. I covered the Obama and McCain campaigns, and reported live from the Papal visit to the White House.

I reported from across Europe and further afield on a range of high profile stories. Highlights included the Ukrainian revolution, the Papal conclave, Paris riots and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
