About Jack Kariko

A lawyer by profession having worked for the the Department of Justice & Attorney General as a legal officer, senior legal officer, principal legal officer and Deputy Secretary (Legal & Policy) before leaving the Department in September 2014 to head the National Judicial Staff Service (NJSS) as its Secretary/CEO. The NJSS is the Government organisation that is responsible for providing the Corporate Affairs and General Administration functions for the higher Judiciary (Supreme & National Courts) of Papua New Guinea. My commission and service to the National Judiciary Services and the PNG Public Service of 25 years ended in May of 2024, when I was appointed as the Deputy Team Leader for the DFAT funded Program, the Australia-PNG Law & Justice Program (APLJ-P) managed by DT Global.
