CurrentUtilized previous knowledge in AI computer vision to build automated machine learning vision inspections to quickly address quality issues on the manufacturing floor. These inspections are more reliable than a human inspection and much quicker.Worked directly with end customers to address external quality problems entered against Samtec. Led the internal investigation process and worked directly with production site MQE’s across the globe.Performed detailed root cause analysis to solve manufacturing quality problems. Those solutions were then directly reported to end customers with detailed 8D corrective action reports.Utilized root cause analysis tools like the Fishbone Diagram and 5 Whys to identify the true root cause and the reason for lack of detection for manufacturing defects.Worked well in a high stress, deadline oriented environment serving high profile customers all across the globe including Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, AMD, etc. This includes line down situations that had to be remedied in a quick and professional manner to maintain customer relations.Identified and led quality improvement projects that required input from multiple internal teams including engineering, production, and quality. This involved assigning action items and ensuring their on time completion.Performed detailed material tracing to track defective lots of material and determine potential impact to customers.Worked directly with the supplier quality group to improve the quality of Samtec’s suppliers and prevent quality problems derived from supplier components.
