-Conducted research on a changing glacial environment in Patagonia, Chile. The former glacial lake transformed into a glacial basin due to the geologic hazard, glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), which began in 2008.-Participated in the study abroad program to Patagonia, Chile in 2018. Observed and recorded the collection of imagery through UAS missions at the glacial basin. -Continued research with Radford University on data analysis from the study abroad experience.-Created 3D models from UAS imagery using the Pix4D image processing software for two sets of imagery collected in 2018 and 2019. The imagery was not georeferenced during the missions, therefore had to manually add ground control points using a combination of ArcGIS and Google Earth.-Analyzed 3D models of the basin using the change detection software, CloudCompare to measure the rates of erosion and stability of the channel.-Used results and observations to study changes to the glacial basin, then compared them to long-term sediment removal rates previously calculated with remote sensing imagery of the basin between 2008-2017. -Conducted an analysis of the stratigraphy at the basin to explain the similar changes of the environmental conditions over the past several thousand years suggesting an exposed ancient forest and allowing for a better understanding of the long-term GLOF and climate history. -Gave an oral presentation of my research to a nontechnical audience at Radford University’s Annual Summer Research Celebration. Created a poster presentation for the American Geophysical Union (AGU) meeting in New Orleans, December 2021.

-Assisted with the installation of micro piles for deep foundation support. Installed micro piles into the ground to support high-capacity loads that the surrounding rock and soil cannot support.-As the micro piles were drilled, observed the different soil and rock types that were ejected to the surface. The varying competence of the rock and soil drilled determined the speed and difficulty of the drilling process. -Each micro pile was drilled to the depth of 50 feet in order to reach the bedrock.-Acquired practical experience and understanding of deep foundation support and drilling.-Operated Skid-steer and placed rebar to set in concrete.

- Made sure food was prepared correctly and on time as well as communicated between the kitchen and the dining room.-Performed a quality check on food and added the appropriate garnish to the dish.-Carried the tray of dishes to the appropriate table for the server.-Filled water glasses and delivered bread as guests were sat at their table. Cleared plates, glasses, and cutlery from the tables when guests left and reset table for next guest. -Served in banquet events including business conferences, weddings, and LPGA tournament events. -Helped prepare and deliver food and drinks to guests’ rooms and set up amenities in rooms prior to guest arrival.
