Working primarily with Typescript, Javascript, JSS, Next.js, Jest, React, RDF, and a whole bunch of other open-source technologies. Building the future of the Internet - giving people control over their own data and helping everyone interconnect.

Tech lead and senior engineer on the Product Experiences team. Lead the conversion of an existing codebase to React / Redux / Redux-Sagas. Primarily worked on frontend infrastructure, implementing ESLint, Webpack, ES2019, and maintaining and improving build and test systems, while building new products and maintaining existing. Mentored team members. Designed, prioritized, and managed frontend engineering initiatives.

Lead the web platform team. Architected and implemented an open-source, isomorphic node application for reddit's mobile web; began the project as a prototype, then productionized and built a new a team of engineers in its development to handle very large-scale traffic.

At Airbnb, I began as a product engineer, improving host and guest management flows. I later founded a small team to improve global web performance. Having succeeded beyond the original goal, went on to lead a team in solidifying front-end architecture across of Airbnb's web stack, founded and lead the core platform team to design and implement javascript frameworks across Airbnb's products.

At Plum District, I had the responsibility of architecting our front-end systems and an additional responsibility to help guide our team towards agile and test-driven development methodologies. I used html, sass, css, Backbone.js, Underscore.js, jQuery, Coffeescript, and Rails 2 and 3 to craft an elegant front-end system. I took a major role in building the application out as a platform, planning the separation of the back-end code to a simple RESTful API and building reusable, decoupled front-end components on top.

At Forio, I developed web interfaces for simulations by using html, css, and javascript to build games that interact with our templating language and modeling engine through a REST-based interface. I introduced Backbone.js as a method to better organize our simulations.

I was a consultant working with clients developing high-quality, bug-free applications using a variety of technologies, including C# / WPF and Cucumber. Pillar teams also work to update clients' business and development practices to an Agile environment, focusing heavily on TDD. I've used technologies familiar and unfamiliar, constantly learning on the job and adapting to new environments.

I maintained and created new features for a large-scale web application using html, CSS, Javascript / jQuery, ASP.NET 3.5 with C#, and .NET 4.0 with MVC 3 / Razor. I use Enterprise Architect to visualize application architecture, and implement that design from coding to final testing. I took the lead role in UI development, planning out and developing MeM's display technologies for desktop and mobile environments.

I developed custom user interfaces for clients who ordered services from the LexisNexis legal and news databases, including clients such as Microsoft and Home Depot. A designer created the graphics and site layout, to which I added functionality and connected it to our web services API using HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP, XML and XSL. This was a fast-paced environment where I received on average three to five projects a day and was expected to have each project completed within three days, in a team of about ten.

Worked for RCH for two separate periods of about 8 months each, between Oct. 2004 and June 2006; used ColdFusion and developed administration areas as well as client-side display of data for several commercial and school websites.

Developed administration back-ends of commercial sites, using ASP 3.0 and MSSql 2000.
