I joined DIJGTAL as the 2nd employee (Sean beat me by 1 week and I’ve never forgiven him). Through my time as Experience Design Lead, I evolved the role from being the sole researcher & designer into the following responsibilities:- leading all experience design & research activities- helping to develop our design practice from the ground up- taking on project management functions including reporting and budgeting- client communications- estimating new projects and writing proposals- mentoring junior staff- contributing to building the workplace culture through my trademark blend of kindness, diligence and sarcasm.Worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including finance, retirement, cryptocurrency, hospitality, education, property, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, iGaming, banking, insurance, cinema advertising, staff management.

Responsible for human-centred user experience research and design, primarily for mobile products. Experience across corporate and startup clients from a range of industries, including health, finance, food services, loyalty, travel, and events.Specific areas of focus include:- designing, managing and facilitating problem discovery, concept & usability research- practicing Design Thinking methods to empathise with users and understand their problems & needs- practicing Lean UX to quickly and iteratively validate problem, concept and solution- synthesising research and extracting insights- helping to define and continually refine the UX team's research process- designing mobile solutions through increasing fidelity of concept sketching, wireframing and iterative prototype design- supporting facilitation of stakeholder workshops- mentoring interns and junior staff in UX.

This project involved customising and implementing the CareerHub software package (developed by Visual Eyes Creative) to replace UTS' existing internship management system. The role involved a mix of business analysis, project management and design/configuration of the software and supporting infrastructure.Responsibilities included:- Assisting in the alignment of internship management business processes for IT & Engineering courses to provide a higher level of standardisation between the two streams of the faculty- Regularly engaging with stakeholders during the design phase to ensure the system will meet and exceed their expectations- Working closely with the vendor to request changes, as well as to seek advice on the capabilities of the software- Adapting the CareerHub package to accommodate the gathered requirements- Managing project documentation- High level redesign of datafeed infrastructure- Coordinating systems testing and pilot implementation- Training administration staff- Identifying issues with the pilot then devising and implementing solutions- Outlining the milestones for full implementation and suggesting future upgrades to the system

Working in the ESB Infrastructure team, I undertook a range of activities including:- scripting troubleshooting dashboards for Splunk log analysis tool- managing assets in CMDB using BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite- updating design and content on Sharepoint sites- service desk activities including use of Tivoli Access Manager- coordinating change requests- helping to optimise server reporting processes

Helped troubleshoot clients' computer issues, replaced and cleaned hardware, reinstalled operating system and application software

Learned about help desk operations, assisted with troubleshooting activities, relocated an office and restored their access to the wider area network
