I spoke with self-employed electricians up to Directors and CEO's of solar and window companies listening to their needs, gathering information and explaining the methods we use and how we condense it into the offering that would be best suited to their business. Thinking on my feet, using initiative, being flexible within reason and building rapport were some of the elements I relished in my role. I was targeted on the number of calls I made each day, time spent on the phone weekly and the number of sales each month. Where my volume may have fallen at times, my value always compensated, exceeding company expectations and sharing new ideas on how we operate as a team. I was often invited to off-site meetings to discuss and participate in coming up with ideas for initiatives then leading a project to execute the goal of the idea while being able to track and report findings and results both financially and steps forward. I felt that building a working relationship helped me understand my clients as a business to go the extra mile for them and ensure they got the best of the service we could offer. Using my time management and organisational skills to identify the best times to contact new potential contractors helped me focus on priorities and my involvement in on-going projects and my daily responsibilities. I enjoyed putting someone's mind at ease when searching for a Contractor in their local area, notifying them of the checks we did to ensure the quality, legitimacy and workmanship of the company was something we, Quotatis pride ourselves on and had already done the work for them. I also, spoke to consumers about possible requirements they may have needed to obtain quotes for their home improvement so, having a basic knowledge of the whole breadth of home improvements was a necessity and one I developed on the job also. Using my own initiative and desire to help, I would also speak to previous homeowners who made an enquiry and may have not been matched to a company or even one to, enquire if they still sought for a quote or another when I researched a new or another company was available in their area on our network. -
WaiterElm Farm Country House May 2010 - Jan 2013NorwichI would be an immediate service for customers using our restaurant, bringing food and drinks to their table, being courteous and rectifying any issues they may have had to ensure they had a pleasant meal and enjoyed the service I gave to them. Polishing cutlery, helping the kitchen cleaners and at times serve the Sunday carvery became a duty and I enjoyed the pressure of being time sensitive with customers when there were a list of jobs and duties outstanding as well as providing a professional and polite manner to customers who visited the restaurant. As well as a restaurant, Elm Farm Country House is a Wedding reception venue where providing a five-star and flawless service on someones's big day was my main goal and I felt I provided that service every time we had a Wedding which was on average twice a week. In this role also enjoyed being an all-day Drinks waiter for Sir Cliff Richard, where he used his own Bentley to drive his niece to Elm Farm Country House for their reception. Being on-hand for his drinks and making sure he enjoyed his time at Elm Farm Country House.
