Adversity led me on a path to self discovery and a rewarding career in the beauty and wellness Industry.With the passing away of my child's father and a young one to raise,I needed to find a profession that would reward me financially and still allow me flexible working hours.I had been giving massages to my friends as a hobby and they would get relief from their muscle aches.I would constantly hear feedback like;"You really are gifted with healing touch."I felt drawn into exploring this deeper and after much research and advice I settled on pursuing a career in beauty and massage as it aligned perfectly with what I was looking for.I went for it with both feet in and graduated top of my class with a distinction in beauty,Massage and spa treatments.I've always felt like this profession chose me and I went on to have a really rewarding career as a spa professional.I have a wealth of experience working in high end spas,performing facials,massages and spa treatments.One of my greatest strengths has been in giving an unmatched client experience in the way I deliver my services.I have also been strong in sales;upselling of services and selling retail product to clients.Along my career path I reinvented myself into a clinical massage therapist as I was really passionate in helping clients achieve pain relief.I went back to school to study sports massage and went on to become a clinical massage therapist, working in a clinical setup with chiropractors and physiotherapists.I was tasked with giving clinical massage to patients with muskuloskeletal disorders and sports injury rehabilitation.I went on to be one of the most sought after massage therapists in the area due to my success with my patients making quantum leaps in their recovery from pain. I also worked closely with the CEO in business development, Sales&Marketing.Most recently I have grown into teaching and mentorship which I am really enjoying. I am the lead instructor, heading the skincare and massage department at an international beauty and wellness school.Apart from teaching I'm also involved in marketing of the school,content creation for our social media audience and curriculum development.Let's connect.I would love to hear your inspiring stories!
