I was a core team member throughout the lifecycles of major projects; from the initial tender and contract negotiation stage through process design, documentation and manufacture to hands-on installation, commissioning and operator training. Duties included:• Design of water and wastewater treatment plants including documentation, Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), and operator training.• Process support, diagnostics and optimisation.• Preparation of proposals and tenders, including input during contract negotiation.• Sales and marketing of EWS products.• Integration of partner products into EWS’ range.• Research and development of proprietary products and processes.• Installation and commissioning of plants on industrial and remote sites.SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS• Developed the GO TREAT Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor design. This peer-reviewed and authority-approved design made the design more competitive in the target markets by reducing cost and plant footprint. The design was used for several projects up to $1.3million in value, including the Nauru plant which received two awards at the Water Industry Alliance Smartwater Awards 2014, and the Santos Moomba plant which won the Minister's Award for Excellence in Water Sustainability - High Commendation at the Water Industry Alliance Smartwater Awards 2015.• Designed and worked on several GO TREAT RD wastewater treatment plant projects, including two for Roy Hill Mining in Western Australia.• Built a sales network for industrial and trade waste water treatment equipment, resulting in sales including a Dissolved Air Flotation system at a cheese factory, water treatment for a brewery and a triple effluent monitoring system.
