• Lead the planning, design, training, support, profiling and debugging of 60 GHz wireless mesh networks for business-critical customer accounts. The applications for such networks include WISP deployments to residential customers, Internet infrastructure for caravans and RV parks, city deployments for public WiFi and police camera backhaul, warehouse LiDAR sensor backhaul and temporary installations such as the PGA Tour.• Responsible for system design of key release features e.g. Fast Acquisition, Node Discovery, data path recovery mechanisms.• Responsible for writing and presenting technical documentation and user guide content to a range of technical and less technical audiences.• Confident in diagnosis of highly complex, performance and stability issues in both the wireless and network domains:o On the wireless side, line of site obstruction, interference mitigation, antenna alignment, GPS synchronization, increasing link budget/availability, firmware defects.o On the networking side, bandwidth bottlenecks, scheduling/queueing behavior, excessive broadcast/multicast traffic, sub-optimal routing, topology re-design, software bugs.

• Responsible for writing all test automation software for UK site, primarily coded from scratch in Python including:o RF characterisation: Tx/Rx Accuracy, Adjacent Co-channel Interference, Adaptive Coding Modulation, Waterfall of transparent bridge microwave products operating between 900 MHz to 38 GHz.o Layer 2 Ethernet and E1/T1 Data Performance: Throughput, Latency, Delay Variation and Packet Loss using Ixia test equipment.o Key release feature testing: 1+1 Hot Standby, 1588 Transparent Clock, Sync-E, QoS prioritisation.o Writing software to make colleagues lives easier including GUI driven software and automated result analysis/graphing.• Raising clear and concise software/hardware defects through Bugzilla/JIRA.• Writing test plans and documentation for key release features.• Experienced in Linux Administration for automated client & server-side applications and bash scripting.• Strong believer in writing simple, easy to read & maintain, modularised, object-oriented code.
