Key responsibilities include providing guidance, direction, and oversight to the cultivation, manufacturing, and logistics activities ensuring delivery of high-quality products while maintaining the most efficient product cost structure. Additional responsibilities for operational strategic planning, meeting quality standards, enhancing the supply chain infrastructure, and improving KPIs and SOPs at the grower/processor facility.

Senior manager at the facility responsible and accountable for the efficient operation of production output, product quality and on-time shipping. Ensures compliance to performance metrics; operational and personnel activities in the facility; maintains high standards of operational activities; hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively and consult Human Resources as appropriate; main focus on safety, quality, service and productivity requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirements.

Coordinates the activities of the Production Department and monitors procedures and standards to achieve consistent high quality products produced in a safe and efficient manner. Provides leadership for, and develops the abilities of, production management personnel. Create a Continuous Improvement environment by improving products, service, and processes with the objective to reduce waste within the Region while striving for efficiency and profitability. Develops implements and manages all production procedures to ensure all plant goals are met. Supervises, trains and coaches manufacturing management to include responsibility for personnel and labor issues throughout the plant. Responsible for achieving budgets for capital investments, pan glazing, downtime, and damages. Maintains records for all phases of production relative to the quality of the product, including plant formulation records, and those records necessary for auditing purposes to include order completion and scheduling of holiday production. Analyzes results of bakery operations, determines variances from standard, and takes corrective action as needed.

Responsible for the leveraging of statistical tools in order to identify and implement productivity activities, assist in justification of capital projects, sharing of best practices across the network, and ensure appropriate maintenance of IPM systems. Utilize statistics to monitor process performance and identify productivity opportunities. Facilitate all process improvement team activities, including Kaizen, 5S and 6 Sigma events, and monitor results. Primary resource for step change and change management. Primary resource in sharing and implementation of best practices.

Responsible for production on a daily basis. Provide leadership and coaching to workforce in all aspects, including safety, IPM, cost controls, employee relations, sanitation and production. Manage staffing schedule to meet production needs each shift. Review production reports to ensure employees are adhering to standard operating procedures. Drive quality improvement and process waste elimination initiatives through functional team leadership. Supervise team of hourly employees.
