Main Duties & Responsibilities:• Administration of the entire SQL Server database environment across Development, Test, Production and the Reporting Data-Warehouse. This is across both the Development, Production OLTP and Data-Warehouse environments• Performing new Server Installations and SQL Server Database Upgrades (2008R2->2012)• Maintain data standards, including adherence to relevant legislation and internal audit requirements.• Liaise with external vendors of database technology products, compliance organisations and software vendors that are required to support the DBA function.• Liaise with internal audit team, project managers, reporting staff, infrastructure staff and other consumers of data for the purpose or providing information (via SSRS/Adhoc T-SQL Queries) or configuration of services required for performing BAU tasks.• Development and Management of various in-house processes using SQL Server Integration Services• Proactively recommend new software technologies that could benefit the organisation• Be the database liaison on various development projects
