As an Aviation life support systems technician, I perform maintenance repair and rework on Aviation life support equipment such as inflatable life preserver vests, parachutes, and scuba bottles, search and rescue gear such as radio beacons and life rafts, and high altitude breathing devices and other oxygen equipment, emergency firefighting devices such as fire shelters and helicopter (Bambi) buckets, among other gear.

As Production Control Chief, I supervised issuing and receiving all ALSS gear to and from the squadrons that my work center supported. It was my job to liaison with outside entities and higher ups from other military commands to ensure that both our customers and our work center supervisors needs were being met. I was the middle man who provided raw materials for maintenance in my work center and finished product from the work center to the customers. I also oversaw all maintenance documentation and ensured up to date publications were used and new directives were being implemented by the Work Center Supervisors.

As a Quality Assurance Representative, I inspected in process repair steps and final products, ensuring compliance with standards and accurate repairs to ensure proper function, prevent the occurrence of defects, and ensure adherence to Naval Aviation Maintenance Program standards. I ensured that such technical manuals and inspections were performed and accurately and correctly documented on a regular basis by all personnel under my direction and assumed responsibility for all maintenance performed under my supervision without a single incident over four years.

As a Work Center Supervisor, I receive directives from Production Control and from eleven adjacent squadrons, each with their own logistical needs and ensured that sufficient Aviation Life Support Systems work product was produced under my direction to satisfy all missions' requirements. I worked alongside other supervisors to delegate maintenance tasks to twenty to thirty Marines, ensuring that the workload is evenly delegated with fairness and maximized potential for work output. I oversaw all programs, from work center safety, to HAZMAT, to training of marines on-the-job, to Ordnance handling, and other programs.
