This role is responsible for the overall planning, customer relations, workflow management, quality and confidentiality of processed/delivered tax returns, training of new hires and seasonal help on tax processing procedures and guidelines, and actively lead in process improvement within an office or across multiple locations in a Region. Works with Location Manager to assist with tasks in the day-to-day operations of the office as needed.Knowledge of all applicable tax return types, assembly filing requirements, tax practice policies and methodologies, quality assurance and confidentiality requirements, and other relevant tax practice or regulatory requirements for processing/delivering/filing tax returns.Proactively works with engagement teams, internal customer groups and tax leaders regarding planning and service delivery during peak busy periods for smooth work flow and timely deliveryServe as Champion to support Tax Processing practice initiativesRegularly reviews Tax Processing Sharepoint Log. Reviews work of tax processing staff and completed deliverables for overall quality and conformity with established policies, methodologies, and provide timely guidance/feedback to staff.Collaborates with local Enterprise Support Services (ESS) management to provide appropriate back-up and peak period support or temporary/seasonal help when necessary to keep overtime to a minimumResponsible for appropriate and timely training of all staff on all aspects of tax processing and guidelines
