I principally use the OMOP Common Data Model and tools on the Open Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) platform to design cohorts for real-world evidence generation.Basically, I create data sets from people's health information to study things like how effective one medicine is vs. another, or to predict how likely a person is to get a particular disease based on their health status.

I taught two academic writing courses the summer of 2024:(1) ENGL 215 – Foundations of Academic Writing: Grammatically Correct Sentences to Well-Developed Paragraphs(2) GRAD 500 – Writing and Publishing a Scientific PaperI intend to teach GRAD 500 again in the fall.

I carried out independent health-related research on the aetiology and prevention of precancerous gastric lesions to elucidate their risk factors. During my postdoc, I have bolstered my statistical and data analysis skills and dived into trainings on qualitative research and implementation and dissemination science. Additionally, I have collaborated directly with program officers in the Center for Global Health to conduct a grant portfolio analysis of NCI's health disparities-focused grants and review countries' national cancer and non-communicable disease control plans. As a co-chair of the fellows-led Global Health Interest Group, I helped organise and facilitate seminars, social events, and a summer symposium to grow the community of global health scientists across NIH. For London Global Cancer Week, I moderated a panel discussion on the role of community health workers and patient navigators across the cancer continuum in low-and middle-income countries. I also designed and disseminated a questionnaire to determine which languages are currently spoken and being learned at NIH. After analysing the results, i created a freely editable database of speakers and learners to facilitate language exchange across the entire organisation.

I was a TA for Professor Charles Poole's course, EPID 715: Theory and Quantitative Methods in Epidemiology. My duties included editing lecture slides, designing and grading assignments, giving lectures, and hosting office hours for students. Additionally, in March 2020, we had to overhaul the entire course to convert it from in-person to online.

I provided epidemiological support for projects related to immunology. This involved reviewing scientific literature and designing weekly presentations to inform the Immunology Group's work.

I coordinated activities related to the opening of the first pathology lab in Liberia, including equipment delivery logistics and preparing planning, authorization, briefings and implementation documents for my supervisor and international collaborators, e.g. memoranda of understanding. I also Interpreted, evaluated, and analyzed scientific data and other information related to cervical cancer projects in Liberia.

Directly involved in data entry and management for a large prospective cohort study. This included participation in cross-functional meetings with study managers, participant interviewers, and researchers. Additionally, I assisted in organizing several symposia to present the most recent and impactful research findings, in lay terms, to study participants across North Carolina.

-Independent study of smoking patterns among people living with HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa in connection with NCI’s Center for Global Health-Systematic review of the association between change in telomere length and accelerated aging amongcancer patients-Literature review of current tobacco control policies in sub-Saharan Africa

I carried out statistical research in order to evaluate the center's performance and improve services. Additionally, I developed, coordinated and administered community outreach programs to promote and explain the objectives of the Ralph Lauren Center, especially its cancer screening and treatment services. This included promotional fliers and informational seminars that I gave in community centers and other healthcare institutions in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.I visited public and private organizations to promote and explain the objectives of the Ralph Lauren Center and facilitated informational seminars and promoted awareness of services in Spanish and French. I also organized and participated in a radio show in French with the Association des Sénégalais d’Amerique (ASA) to raise awareness about cancer screening.

I designed patient information materials on various cancers for distribution in Ghana with the goal of wider distribution to other anglophone African countries.
