I have over 30 years of experience in the global logistics industry currently at the premier global logistics leader DHL Express. Over the last 12 years I have held a number of senior level executive roles not only in the USA but also internationally.I was appointed to Deputy Managing Director for DHL Express in China, DHL-Sinotrans International Air Courier, in Mar 2012. This is a joint venture with DHL Express and Sinotrans, based in Beijing. DHL–Sinotrans is the market leader in China in international express logisitics.I joined the China team after a brief time in Japan, when the opportunity in China unexpectedly opened up. In Japan I was appointed as VP and Head of Operations for DHL Express. I had a dual role at the time also serving as the VP and Head of Ground Operations for the Asia Pacific Region, consisting of over 40 countries and territories.Prior to Japan, I relocated to Singapore from the USA as VP and Head of Import/Export Operations and Ground Operations for Asia Pacific Region. It was challenging to understand, appreciate and work with the complexities of each country and the cultures within. It was however, gratifying as I was able to successfully support and improve operations of the countries by establishing relationships on the ground level in the field. I extensively traveled and was engaged hands on in country level opportunities. I’ve come to enjoy the Asia Pacific Region and the great diversity of experiences, professionally and personally, it offers.Over the last five years I have also served on senior management boards for USA Express, Asia Pacific Operations, and currently China Express. I have been actively engaged at senior executive levels in environments showing fast based sustainable growth, the integration of a large acquisition, and a downsizing and restructuring that laid a renewed foundation for subsequent stability and growth. Continuous improvement in all aspects is an absolute must!
