I am a writer and literary scholar specialising in queer studies and American literature, currently at work on a trade non-fiction book about the queer literary history of Fire Island, which will be published by Granta Books and Hanover Square Press (Harper Collins) in 2022. I completed my PhD at Cambridge University on gay cruising in New York poetry and now hold a Junior Research Fellow in English at University College, Oxford, where I also teach literary theory and modern American literature.
