I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) from the University of Brighton and Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology with Counselling. Currently, I work as a counsellor at St Catherine's Hospice, where I specialise in grief, bereavement and palliative care. I am committed to the hospice's vision of delivering personalised and compassionate care to patients and their families, and I value the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals providing holistic care.In my role as a counsellor at St Catherine's Hospice, I provide crucial support to patients under the hospice's care, particularly those facing terminal illnesses or receiving end-of-life care. I also offer support to family members, which includes both bereavement and anticipatory grief counselling. I work in the hospice's inpatient unit and throughout the communities of West Sussex and East Surrey, where I am part of a team providing holistic palliative care to patients and their relatives. Recently, I have taken a lead role alongside the service manager to review and enhance the Wellbeing service, which involved developing a service plan to broaden reach and diversify the emotional support offer. I have also maintained a small private practice where I provide short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy to clients. In my previous role at YoungMinds, I was a co-manager where I oversaw the operational running of the service’s multiple channels, alongside delivering on the development and expansion of the service. In this role I managed a team of staff and 20+ mental health professionals.
