As an intern at Ansay & Associates, I spent the summer learning the commercial side of the business. I was actively cold calling every week and shadowing people in my department to better understand the accounts we manage. Our producers made an effort to include me in meetings with clients so I could see how meetings were run. My hard work as an intern paid off when I was rewarded the Intern Excellence Award based on my ability to network within the organization and for bringing a positive attitude to my cold calls. When the summer ended, I had the opportunity to continue my work with the organization in their personal lines department. I currently still work as an intern every other day after classes.

My part time job as a test proctor while being a full time student allows me to make new connections with professors and staff members while also bringing me closer to the students on campus. Skills I've learned from this position include issuing tests to students while enforcing several standards to allow no cheating. I watch cameras and make walkthroughs regularly to ensure academic honesty. These tasks come with the high expectation of trust from my supervisor to follow through with these rules.

At Cleveland State Bank I learned a handful of skills that have benefited me in many ways. These skills include working one-on-one with clients to make deposits and withdrawal cash, setting up online banking through utilizing computer skills, and providing customer service over the phone through assisting individuals with questions and concerns. My position also required a great deal of trust which allowed me to precisely stock vaults and manage cash flow, as well as handling tax payment transactions.
