  • St Helens Foundation
    Media Assistant
St Helens Foundation Oct 2022 - Present
My current role is as Media Assistant at the Saints Community Development Foundation (SCDF). In the previous few months we have been working on a website that we are looking to make live ASAP to help people access the Foundation easier than they have ever been able too before. Once live we will be posting updated articles weekly telling the local community about all of the upcoming events around the area, as well as showing off all the good work that we do around St Helens and beyond.

    First Team Match Reporter
    St.Helens R.F.C. (Totally Wicked Stadium) - 2020 Super League Champions May 2021 - Present
I travel to home and away games and cover the first team's matches by providing match reports which will go onto the clubs website and social media channels following every game. Games, particularly those away from home often lead to very long days following the team, but as a Saints fan and Rugby League lover myself, it is something that I have a strong passion doing.
  • St.Helens R.F.C. (Totally Wicked Stadium)
    Women’S Media Executive
    St.Helens R.F.C. (Totally Wicked Stadium) Jun 2019 - Present
    St Helens
Having joined the Women's team midway through the 2019 season to help me with my University degree, I quickly fell in love with helping out however I could. It is a fantastic group of people that I am proud to be a part of the past few years. I basically cover everything to do with this team. All their social media channels are covered by myself, if any player has any media enquiries they come to myself, I am present at basically all events that this group is involved in, despite the unfortunate fact that none of us get paid for the sport yet. Being a part of this group really opened my eyes to what it is really like to work as part of a team.
  • The Rugby Football League
    Development Executive
The Rugby Football League Nov 2021 - Jun 2022
    Manchester, England, United Kingdom
I then moved into a role within the Rugby Football League (RFL) were I worked as a Development Executive as part of the Kickstart Scheme. My role here was to help assist the development of the Women’s, University and College games within Rugby League. Having worked in the Women’s game a lot during my time at Saints, I felt I could help a lot here in particular, during my time here the main ideas we brought to life was a new ‘Nines’ tournament the first ever played in this country by many of the competitors. I also put together a document for sports commentary, so commentators have better knowledge of the players in the women’s game. For the University and College side, I would get sent the fixtures on a weekly basis and put them up on a Monday afternoon for people to look at and potentially attend the games as well.
  • Huddersfield Giants Rlfc
    Website Contributor
Huddersfield Giants Rlfc May 2019 - Feb 2020
    Huddersfield, United Kingdom
After my 18 months at Oldham, I was offered the chance to do some work for Huddersfield Giants were I had been studying for my sports journalism degree for the past few years. At the Giants I was tasked with getting content out onto the website for our fans to read. The content ranged massively from match reports to previews and content such as Flashback Friday and looking back at the careers of old club legends. We aimed to get between 5-10 pieces out per week so it was a very demanding role.
  • Oldham Athletic (2004) Association Football Club Limited
    Oldham Matchday Programme
Oldham Athletic (2004) Association Football Club Limited Aug 2018 - Dec 2019
    Oldham, United Kingdom
Midway during my time at Super League for the year I heard about a chance to join Oldham Athletic as a programme contributor there as well, which I jumped at as it meant that I got to experience the programme writing in a second sport. In this role I was tasked with coming up with a page covering three news stories from League Two (the league Oldham where in at the time) and writing them up to be put into the matchday programme.
  • Super League
    Super League Programme Contributor
    Super League Feb 2018 - Feb 2019
Shortly after I left Rotherham United, I was approached by experienced sportswriter Chris Irvine who offered to help get me involved in producing a page in the Super League programmes. I would be tasked with coming up with a page that detailed a sides key player, their coach and how their form has been looking recently.
  • Rotherham United Football Club
    Rotherham United Website Contributor
Rotherham United Football Club Jun 2017 - Nov 2017
    Rotherham, United Kingdom
My first step into the world of Sports Journalism came shortly before I went to University as I took on some work experience at Rotherham United, mainly behind the scenes work. Sorts of work we did in the role was updating live scores during games, writing match reports, filming behind the goals during games, my main role was to write the match reports to go onto the club’s website for fans to read after the games. I also did a weekly column on their website which I would preview their upcoming games in depth for fans to read on a weekly basis. These reviews were very in depth to give fans the best insight possible.
