After my initial tenure at BlueLabs, I was invited to extend my collaboration with the company as a DevOps consultant. As a DevOps consultant, I continued to execute tasks as an individual contributor, maintaining a hands-on approach while also taking on the responsibility of training and facilitating knowledge transfers for newly onboarded DevOps engineers.My primary focus encompassed critical projects, notably leading the upgrade and migration of database infrastructure. I worked extensively with a major Fortune 500 company on migrating their AWS services and infrastructure to AWS GovCloud; created infrastructure for automatically building, testing and deploying dynamic infrastructure to newly created AWS accounts reducing the time required for creating and setting up AWS accounts from months to hours; and worked on an internal platform that hundreds of development teams used to deploy various services and infrastructure to various AWS environments.I contributed to the industry standard open source project cfn-nag. I also wrote automated tests for both infrastructure and code as part of pipelines. I presented in Stelligent's weekly company meeting on emerging technical topics. PartnerComm, Inc. is a consulting company that focuses on providing benefit communications to partner companies' employees. While at PartnerComm, I set up numerous continuous delivery and deployment pipelines to various environments in AWS; developed and maintained high-availability APIs in various programming languages including Node.js and PHP; wrote automated tests using technologies including Jenkins, Selenium, PHP Unit and Codeception; and assisted in the creation of numerous websites for high-profile clients including American Airlines, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Box, Cisco, DHL, Discover, Jet Blue, Nestle, REI, Safelite and United Technologies.While working for PartnerComm, I created and maintained a Kubernetes cluster using EKS (AWS's managed Kubernetes service); I implemented a dynamic Fargate ECS instance that had an Express/Angular front end for management; automated Wordpress, server and software package upgrades using Compass, Jenkins, Node, Gulp and Webpack; moved numerous websites to use containers, both in development and production using Docker/Docker Compose; created a web tool using Laravel for managing and duplicated user accounts/credentials with varied permission levels across numerous websites.
