Throughout my professional life, I have continually sought new work experiences as a means to learn new techniques and skillsets. I've been lucky enough to work with several digital marketing and online reputation management (ORM) agencies. Each of those roles has given me the opportunity to expand my talents as a writer, with a strong emphasis on optimization for search engines and best-practices for web content projects. In addition to developing and crafting impactful web content for numerous industries including legal, manufacturing, healthcare, finance, and commercial liability insurance, I have had many opportunities to contribute my talents to others. My writing work has appeared on Bikecommuters.com (over 700 articles and counting!), BikeRoar.com, CICLE.org, and some of my bicycle commuting tips have even been featured in Bicycling Magazine.My educational background is in librarianship, perhaps one of the most rewarding fields I have experienced. I have worked in several different library types, but my primary interest is in patron-oriented public library services. In the library field, I have performed a wide of tasks, including in-person, telephone, and online reference services, readers' advisory services, circulation and enrollment, and selecting titles for a county Books-by-Mail program. In my last year working in the field, I had the pleasure of serving as the Bookmobile librarian for a densely-populated county in Florida. In my free time, I fill in as a freelance writer/editor/proofreader -- writing web content, blog posts, press releases and a variety of other pieces for clients in a multitude of industries. From fact-checking, to basic proofing, to developing original content, I can do it all!
