Recent First Class Honours Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in French Studies with International Relations at Queen Mary University of London's Institute in Paris. I have developed a strong foundation in linguistic and cultural studies, political philosophy and global affairs. During my undergraduate, I completed a first-class dissertation on the influence of Iranian sociologist Ali Shari'ati on the later works and thinking of Michel Foucault. As a Professor in Spoken English at the Institut Catholique de Paris, I taught oral expression and crafted a specialised curriculum and course materials for university students. I have diverse experience teaching English to a wide variety of demographics and capabilities, including online tutoring delivering tailored instruction in grammar, oral presentation, and IELTS preparation. A large portion of my teaching has been to young and very young learners. My time at the British Council as an Administrative Assistant provided me with great insight to the logistics of teaching centres and to the workings of public diplomacy and governmental institutions that operate overseas. This constituted an invaluable practical compliment to the international relations theory of my course. Committed to humanitarian causes, I volunteered as a Verified FR-EN Translator with Translators Without Borders, specializing in Humanitarian Translation. This experience, coupled with my completion of the CELTA course at the British Council, has honed my skills in language education and humanitarian efforts.
