I have spent the past decade working with early-stage investors and entrepreneurs in two emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems- San Diego (2012-2018) and St. Louis (2018-2020). These non-traditional opportunities have allowed me to accumulate a unique skill set that is ideal for a Midwest-based Venture Fund or entrepreneurs seeking operational help or assistance raising capital from early-stage investors.I have raised over $3M from early-stage investors for numerous ventures, held operational roles with multiple start-ups, and have been an active advisor to over 40 early-stage companies across diverse verticals within St. Louis and San Diego ecosystems. My entrepreneurial experience includes being the Managing Director and one of the Founding Partners of Canopy San Diego- a niche accelerator program for technology and business infrastructure companies that support an emerging domestic and global industry, and the Head Analyst for the San Diego network of the Tech Coast Angels- one of the nation’s largest and most active Angel Investing networks. While I was with TCA-SD, their members invested approximately $23M in 37 companies over a four-year period. I have also held operational roles with two startups- SingldOut (DNA based online dating platform) and Real Wellness (health & wellness consumer products).In 2018 I moved back to St. Louis and have been actively engaged with numerous local entrepreneurial support organizations- ITEN, Arch Grants, Missouri Venture Forum, Sling Health, WashU's LEAP Program, and others. Additionally, I have been working as a Biotech Analyst on behalf of BioGenerator, local Biotech funds, individual early-stage investors, and early-stage companies.In early 2020 I became the Executive Director of Missouri Technology Corporation, a public-private partnership created by the Missouri General Assembly to promote entrepreneurship and foster the growth of new and emerging high-tech companies.
