Apart of a team responsible for Airworthiness Security and overseeing the development of security within the aircraft program. This encompassed defining security processes and best practices for eVTOL development, collaborating with diverse teams to ensure regulatory compliance, and achieving a secure-by-design product architecture. My contributions included providing subject matter expertise, cybersecurity risk and threat evaluation and management, and security architecture design. • Partially automated reports reducing both human error and drafting time from months to weeks. • Engaged with civil aviation authorities, (EASA and FAA), and actively participated in EUROCAE activities to shape aviation security standards such as ED-202/DO-326, ED-203/DO-356, and ED-204/DO-355. • Improved a relational database to facilitate automation of reports, with over 3,000 newly created security entities.

Oversaw audit process for technology use and security across numerous systems and platforms. Planned and prioritized audit process, performed audit tests, developed remediation plans from audit results, and prepared audit reports for stakeholders (executive leadership and Board of Directors Audit Committee). Identified potential risks, observed relevant operations, and conducted interviews with appropriate leadership to ensure risks are avoided. • Developed templates for 30+ frequently encountered audit issues, including root cause and impact to the company, to reduce audit and editorial time on future cases. • Situated the Internal Audit team’s position as a valuable, consultable company resource. • Served as content expert for technical cybersecurity, networking, and systems to consult on risks and controls.

Created and consistently administered security tests for various security processes including features, fuzzing, and regression utilizing Ansible amongst other tools. Provided Tier III support for security issues related to virtualized or containerized solutions. Produced and presented reports on security issues and potential improvement opportunities. Determined PKI integration requirements for configuration and solution architecture. Verified all operations were documented and deployed in compliance with client Security Office standards. • Collaborated with AT&T to design an operational solution for FirstNet in alignment with design requirements arranged by network architects. • Scripted and utilized Ansible playbooks to create templates for future use by automating security tools and patches for 24 servers. • Decreased vendor selection time by 1 month to identify FEDRAMP high compliance vendor assistance.

Provided expert-level security-related technical support (security requests, system access, onboarding, and offboarding). Collaborated with state, county, and department IT professionals on security tech projects. Updated policies and training resources for department impacting system-wide security, password management, damaged and stolen devices, and internal website standards. • Developed and implemented process for role-based security access across all IT divisions (70+ positions) through collaboration with management. • Built database for all 450+ department employees outlining access status for all 30+ state and local systems. • Created documentation for all details needed for successful operation as Security Administrator, including guides for all 30+ systems, request tracking system, and various forms to upskill future employees and other department security administrators.

Managed systems and networks of local, international, on-site, and virtual operations for 50+ employees. Reached maximum uptime for systems to deliver optimal service for global clients. Administered system backups, patches, and Nagios watchdogs for 50 physical and hundreds of virtual machines (VMs). Oversaw network administration for three offices through server security, firewalls, VPNs, email, and internal and external DNS servers. • Migrated company email for 50+ employees from three separate local services to cloud-based Microsoft O365, resulting in a 20% savings in technology costs and savings in employee time spent managing email systems. • Trusted content expert for certification management processes for VPNs, email, HTTPS, DNSSEC, and website registration.

Assisted team in transition from Cisco to Aruba by assembling, configuring, installing, and patching new switches. Controlled 250+ switches in enterprise environment across 1,000+ locations and 7,000+ users. Planned project to replace all network closets including evaluation of costs, downtime, parts, and labor. Prepared, installed, and maintained 3,000+ wireless access points (WAPs) across various locations. Supported service desk operations, often as the network expert. • Rapidly promoted to Network and Systems team from Service Desk. • Replaced network closets with 400+ patch cables with an efficient process and easily-accessible template, reducing downtime from eight to four hours and switch setup and configuration time from two days to two hours. • Maintained successful operations of WAPs to ensure failed WAPs remained in single-digits.
