As a Front Desk Attendant for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, I am the initial person that prospective families interact with when approaching Auburn University. I currently handle an average of 550 people a week in person, whether it be checking people in for campus tours, setting up appointments with admissions advisors, or providing advice to walk-ins to maximize their Auburn experience without going on a campus tour. I currently handle an average of 550 people a week in person, whether it be checking people in for campus tours, setting up appointments with admissions advisors, or providing advice to walk-ins to maximize their Auburn experience without going on a campus tour. I also answer phone calls daily, answering specific admissions questions or transferring people to the correct department if I do not know the answer to their question so they can receive the best advice that they can. Through all of these interactions, I have been able to share personal experiences of my life at Auburn, and strengthen my public speaking skills by being able to answer various admissions and life questions on the fly. In collaboration with the Admissions Office, we work with all of the colleges on campus and the university administration to constantly expand our knowledge on university innovations and statistics. While sharing my love for Auburn with so many people I have been able to learn the importance of public speaking and professional communication by sending personal handwritten postcards to each prospective student directly following their visit. The Birmingham Squadron allowed me to have a very unique internship that stretched me beyond my comfort zone to expand my skill set. I worked as a content creation intern, and did anything from promoting content on social media to capturing events to making marketing pieces for the sales team to helping the community outreach team with ideas for events. At Pine Tree Country Club, I had the responsibility for conducting summer tennis camps for children. I oversaw camps of roughly 70 children biweekly, as well as smaller clinics of roughly 20 children biweekly. Through this experience, I was able to connect with both children and parents, teaching the children basic tennis and life skills, and responded to any questions or concerns from parents when they arose.

I was a DoorDash delivery driver during the early months of the pandemic. I decided to do it to give myself a reason to get out of the house and start to connect with people again, even for a very short time just to deliver food. I learned key time management and organizational skills while delivering anywhere from 2 to 7 meals an hour.
